EAO, a Human Machine Interfaces specialist, has added a sound module to its Series 56 switch range.
The Series 56 Multi-tone Sound Module can be programmed to emit a clear signal up to 90 decibels. It is designed specifically to emit warning, orientation, acknowledgment or approvals sounds to show a change in status of equipment or the local environment.
Up to five different tone sequences can be played at different volumes, durations and intervals to create a unique warning. A set of standard sounds is pre-programmed.
The module is built to meet EAO’s standards of quality, reliability and durability. The speaker is moulded from rugged polycarbonate in a choice of two attractive designs: conical or flat fronted. It is protected by a chromium-plated or thermoplastic bezel in a choice of bright, contrasting colours. Sealed to IP69K from the front, this product is shock-resistant, vandal-resistant and flame retardant also.
The robust build and distinctive design makes this an eye-catching feature in any operating environment. Possible uses include pedestrian crossings, orientation signals for the visually impaired, public transportation vehicles warning systems or any public area application such as lifts or emergency call equipment.
This new sound module shares the same design and dimensions of other Series 56 products. It is mounted quickly into a panel from the front with three fixing screws (supplied), and has a mounting depth of just 25mm.
Connections are made with the 6 x 0.5mm² cables fitted with connector sleeves, or with a wide range of different connectors as specified by the customer.
