The German rapid manufacturing company, EOS has set up a subsidiary in
the Warwick Technology Park. Specialising in laser-sintering, EOS Electro
Optical Systems will offer its UK customers laser-sintering machines plus
associated software and powders, covering three broad areas: plastic,
metal and sand. Bronze and steel based powders, DirectMetal 20 and
DirectSteel 20, for example, allow components to be built up in 20 micron
layers, resulting in high feature definition.
