Essential mission for this innovation: to display and report all data that is measured by numerous sensors, then to allow eventual human action and control. It applies to any environments: in-vehicle for navigation and/or running order control, in smart building for automation including energy savings and/or conference room booking display, and in any other application that need real-time data consultation.
Talking about front design, this including camera 5.9 x 4.3inmini panel only weighs 0.3kg and features multi-touch capacitive screen, high performer as a smartphone. It is then from the backside of the device that the industrial system complexity appears, including: 2 USB ports, 1 RJ-45 output, 1 DB9 series port switchable into RS232, RS422 or RS485, I/O lines can be used to interact with all sorts of equipment and sensors.
To stay on the technical side of things for a moment, the ARBOR IoT-500 is powered by a dual-core MediaTek MT2601 System on Chip. There's 512MB of RAM, 4GB, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and optional mobile Broadband. With high resolution and high luminance, the screen can display precise and complex sensors' data.
Answering transport application needs, the solution includes CAN bus and OBD-II interface for on-board diagnostic. A vehicle dock and screw-on antennae are optionally available.
Ready to work anywhere, this new HMI has wide -10 to 50°C operating temperature range and its front panel is IP65-sealed, which means it's totally immune to dust and can also handle low pressure water jets.
