Now available from Aerco is a miniature, single-pole, thermal circuit breaker that can be supplied with an optional push-push switching function and is ideal for the protection of loads in power distribution systems, control cabinets and process control systems.
The E-T-A 1180 miniature plug-in breaker is designed to reduce downtime in process control and automation applications by being readily re-settable. Standard fuse protection often causes problems with either replacements being unavailable or incorrectly rated replacements being used, especially in emergencies. The 1180 can be immediately re-energised by pushing the pop up button that also provides immediate visibility of the tripped circuit thus saving further time.
The 1180 has a reliable, snap-acting, trip-free mechanism and is approved to CBE standard EN/IEC 60934. Voltage rating is AC 250V and DC 65V and current capability is from 0.1 to 10A. Product life is typically 6,000 operations.
Ambient operating temperature is -20ºC to +60ºC and the unit has high resistance to corrosion and humidity. The 1180 is designed to fit into standard blade fuse blocks or, alternatively, a wide range of DIN rail mounting blocks, including models with LED trip indication, is available.
