A new transponder key locking system from EMKA offers up to 4.3 billion
variants, so if you need to change a lock, you just re-programme it. The
system fits directly into a standard EMKA Swinghandle, complete with all
rod and tab possibilities. It is activated when the transponder key is
brought within 5cm of the lock. The programming feature not only ensures
that lost keys are not a problem (since the key can be easily barred),
but it also allows the use of hierarchical master key architecture,
enabling access to many cabinets with just one key by authorised
personnel.
