A series of high performance, economically priced accelerometers has been introduced by Measurement Specialties for a wide range of testing applications. Model 4610 is a low noise signal conditioned accelerometer with exceptional long-term stability ideal for DC and low frequency measurements. The model 4630 offers the same performance in a compact triaxial package. Alternatively, three model 4610 accelerometers can be mounted on an optional triaxial mounting block for unique measurements in each axis.
The new accelerometers are ideal for low frequency measurements such as ride comfort and motion control in rail applications, flight & flutter testing, automotive road load testing, machine control and structural analyses.
The amplified dc response accelerometers are offered in ranges from ±2 to ±500g. They incorporate integral temperature compensation that provides a stable output over a wide operating range (-40 to +115C°). The advanced MEMS sensing elements are gas damped to provide a wide stable frequency response. The assemblies are hermetically sealed for dependable operation in harsh conditions and protected against over-range shocks up to 10,000g.
A proprietary ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) enables the accelerometers to be programmed for exceptional thermal stability and recalibrated for different signal outputs and scale factors. Measurement Specialties’ regional engineering service centers in Europe, Asia and North America provide these services with rapid turnaround.
