Six-page guide covers gearbox refurbishment and service

Renold Gears published a six-page guide to the full range of options available to maintenance engineers for industrial gearbox refurbishment, servicing and replacement.

For instance, as a UK manufacturer, Renold can utilise its design capabilities and reverse engineer obsolete gearboxes, replicating the external dimensions of the old unit so that the new one fits perfectly as a drop-in replacement.

The guide details options such as Renold’s Rapid Response service to minimise downtime and disruption, its Service Exchange Program that provides a new or reconditioned unit to quickly replace the one requiring a service. After servicing and repair this unit is then held in stock until required, at which point the cyclical process continues.

Other services covered by the guide include, strip and inspection, rebuilds, testing, commissioning and installation, as well as customer training options and warranty. It is available in printed form or as a downloadable PDF from renold.com.
