New sealed AMPLIMITE D-subminiature connectors

TE Connectivity’s Sealed AMPLIMITE D-subminiature connectors are now available in Europe at TTI, Inc.

Designed for the harsh conditions found in military and aerospace applications, TE Connectivity’s new Sealed AMPLIMITE D-subminiature connectors meet MIL-DTL-24308 specifications and have been successfully tested by TE at a submerged depth of one metre, enabling their use in designs outside traditional mil aero markets, such as alternative energy and oil and gas platforms.

Featuring grommet sealing on the wire entry and a one-piece interfacial seal on the mating face, as well as internal connector sealant, both AMPLIMITE IP67 Series 109 standard-density and AMPLIMITE IP67 Series 90 high density cable connectors exceed IP67 performance standards for water and dust ingress. A further benefit offered by TE Connectivity’s new Sealed AMPLIMITE D-subminiature connectors is compatibility with standard D-Subminiature connectors. Two series are available: Series 109 standard density accommodates Size 20 contacts while the high density Series 90 uses Size 22 contacts.

AMPLIMITE IP67 Series 90 high density cable connectors are available in shell sizes 15, 26, 44, 62, 78 and 104, and can be supplied with or without Size 22, wire range 22-28 AWG, AS39029 QPL contacts. Contact current rating is 5A. AMPLIMITE IP67 Series 109 standard-density cable connectors are available in shell sizes 9, 15, 25, 37 and 50 and can be supplied with Size 20 copper alloy, gold over nickel contacts rated at 7.5A. They accommodate a wire range between 24 – 20 AWG.

Physical characteristics include cadmium-plated steel shells and glass-filled polyester inserts. Retention clips are manufactured from stainless steel. Operating temperature range is -55degC to +125degC.
