Geared servomotor range expands

The MC range of Lenze geared servo motors has expanded to cover more than 7,500 selections with in-line or right-angle gearboxes. This standard range includes synchronous motors with rated torque from 0.6 to 32Nm and asynchronous motors from 2 to 55Nm. Selections are fully documented with data on torque, inertia, service factors and thermal/mechanical limits.

While Lenze offers planetary models with 6 arcmins of backlash, there is also a lower cost option of helical gearboxes where the backlash can be as low as 10 arcmins. A small helical gearbox has been added to the MC geared servomotor range with ratios from 2.5 to 60 and output torque up to 45Nm.

The choice of right-angle geared servo motors includes the high efficiency bevel and helical bevel models, as well as low cost helical worm. Overall the MC range extends up to 11,600Nm. For most applications with servo motors, gear ratios tend to be about 10:1 or less. However, for unusual requirements, ratios of up to 1,400:1 are possible. IP65 protection is available as an option.
