Next generation Kvaser Leaf series announced

The new Leaf Pro HS v2 brings programmability to the user’s fingertips, as well as CAN with flexible data-rate.

CAN FD is now fully supported and provides the user with a quick and easy plug-and-play installation that supports both 11-bit (CAN 2.0A) and 29-bit (CAN 2.0B active) identifiers. The device utilises the power provided from the USB bus and has full galvanic isolation. Further to this, its high-speed CAN connection is compliant with ISO 11898-2, J1939, CANopen, NMEA 2000 and DeviceNet.

Finally, the Leaf Pro HS v2 has full customisation support using the Kvaser ‘T’ programming language. For example, users can run a ‘T’ program to speed up file transfer protocols or to emulate ECUs and other devices by generating traffic and handling protocols.

Andrew Pook, Product Specialist for Data Communications at Amplicon commented: “The Kvaser Leaf Pro HS v2 is the next evolutionary step in PC to CAN interfacing. With version two now supporting CAN FD you can be assured you have future proofed your interfacing requirements.”
