Until now, all radar level gauges needed to be registered and licensed for use in the UK. However, the complete range of VEGA level gauges for solids or liquids level measurement in tanks, vessels, hoppers and silos can now be used without a licence in the UK. This is in accordance with latest OFCOM Guidance Notes - OfW 366 Radar Level Gauges, the use of Radar Level Gauge equipment. This also covers all existing VEGAPULS radar transmitters in use.
