Children display the energy conservation message

Schneider Electric’s Energy Action poster competition invited children related to Schneider Electric’s UK workforce to contribute to an ‘Energy Action’ campaign that has seen energy consumption drop by 18-22% across all of the company’s UK sites. The brainchild of Rachel Blythin, overseer of the Energy Action programme, the poster competition sought to encourage energy awareness at home as well in the workplace.

The Winner in the nine to 18 category was 14 year old Andrew Bottomley, son of Ian Bottomley, who works in Leeds. Winner in the eight years and under category was seven year old Jay Snookes, whose father works in Finance at Schneider’s Telford site. Winners received a day trip for four to a popular theme park.
