The COMPACTplus light curtain from Leuze Electronic meets the requirements of SIL 3 in accordance with IEC 61508 and offers various functions, including blanking, muting and cycle control. Coupled with its IP68 classification, these features provide a versatile safety light curtain for applications in food and other manufacturing processes where the ability to undergo wash-down is a standard requirement. Leuze’s new SOLID-4 safety light curtain is also suitable for tough environments. It offers a choice of resolutions (14, 20, 30, 40 and 90mm) plus two selectable light beam channels that avoid common optical cross-talk problems when located close to other light curtains.
