A new mid-range yet powerful programmable controller that is both compact and rugged has been launched under Schneider Electric's Telemecanique brand. The Modicon M340 is configured using Schneider's Unity Pro easy to use software, and complements the established Modicon Premium and Quantum Unity automation controller families. The processor incorporates up to 4MB of internal memory, an SD card slot, a USB port and two additional communication ports (Ethernet, CANopen or Modbus).
