On-board Ethernet plus safety functions

Micromech's S700 motion control drive (a Servostar 300-compatible unit) offers new features, including an output current up to 24A, and a safety expansion card with safe-reduced speed and safe operational stop (restart lock) functions. It has Ethernet-based bus communication onboard, a slot for an MMC-memory card, and an optimised resolver interface. Equipped with integral filter, the drive can operate directly from 3-phase mains supplies (208V, 480V and 50/60 Hz).

Other features include interfaces for stepper controllers, master-slave operation and electronic gear. CANopen is offered as standard, as is a position controller with memory for 180 motion tasks. These intelligent positioning functions include speed profiles, register control, jolt limiting, daisy chained tasks, absolute and relative tasks, and several types of reference traverses.
