The Servex FHD and FYD series are
now available in the UK from Electro Mechanical Systems. FYD offers low
vibration and noise, having a magnetic circuit design to minimise
cogging. Speed is linear over the range 200 to 2,500rpm, with standing
torque of up to 196mNm, depending on frame size. A 30 pulse/revolution
output provides speed and position control, while another output provides
direction indication.
The FHD series offers up to 40W from the 61mm diameter motor. Performance
is similar to that of the FYD, but the speed/position control output
offers higher resolution at 42 pulse/revolution. Inaddition to speed and
direction outputs, the controllers offer overload protection alarm and
electro-dynamic braking. Both types can be supplied with gearheads, the
reduction ratios ranging from 3 to 1,800:1.
