Fortress introduces a configurable E-stop

Fortress Interlocks has added an E-stop to its eGard range of safety interlocks. Able to be configured for connection to a programmable logic controller (PLC) or AS-i network, the unit has just one flexible cable that connects the E-stop to its base connector. Programming of complex functions can thus be completed via a single monitor and, once verified, the system cannot be modified without access passwords as an added security measure.

eGard is a modular system that simply clips together to provide a number of options, including the addition of stop and start switches, indicator lights or gate switch modules. It fits straight to a standard extruded aluminium machine guard frame without the need for additional brackets.
