Katko gets tough with safety switches

Industrial-quality aluminium is the key to Katko’s new line of heavy-duty enclosed safety switches. Lightweight, yet tough enough to withstand industrial and other harsh conditions, such as moisture, dust, impacts, high temperatures and chemical attack, the IP66 protected Katko KEA range of switches combines strength and ease of installation.

All units incorporate a fully rated load-break switch, DIN rail mounted for easy installation. Large capacity cable terminals speed up fixing, while retrofit ‘snap-on’ auxiliary contacts preserve existing cabling within the enclosure. A door interlock features defeat mechanism interlocks in both the ‘on’ position and ‘padlocked off’ position. There is also provision for up to three padlocks, thus maximising safety. Units are available in grey/black and yellow/red and come complete with stainless steel fixing screws.
