Systems for multi-channel micro strain evaluation

The 628 strain gauge amplifier from RDP Electronics should prove cost-effective for material and test engineers studying stresses and strains during materials analysis. Applications such as airframes, automobile chassis bodies and pipelines are just typical examples where the 628 can be deployed.

The 628 amplifier, with selectable gauge factor, is simple to use; and when installed into RDP’s Modular 600 Rack populated with a 650 serial interface data logger, enables test data to be logged. Data can be stored in the device’s internal memory. Alternatively, RDP offer freeware suitable for most computers that can be downloaded at www.rdpe.com/uk/men-fw.htm, permitting results to be analysed in spreadsheet form.
