Tolomatic, a rodless actuator supplier, had added MXE electric actuators to it's well-established MX product platform. Developed with their 'Endurance Technology' features, the MXE is designed for maximum durability.
MXE offers two different bearing options in a family of modular actuator bodies, for lean manufacturing efficiences. All models and sizes are built to order, and are shipped within five days. There are several features which contribute to the MXE Series actuators being both reliable and long-lasting.
The first is durable bearings. The Profiled Rail design uses THK Caged Ball technology to reduce friction and extend actuator life in high load and moment applications. The trapezoidal Solid Bearing design reduces stress concentration by 59% for millions of maintenance-free cycles.
Another feature is durable bands. Non-wear stainless steel bands are magnetically retained and protect internal components from contamination, increasing uptime and reducing maintenance. This design has demonstrated its advantages though rigorous life testing in extreme load and speed conditions.
Other features include multiple screw technologies, with a choice of solid or ball nut configurations; internal magnets that allows sensor installation in any orientation on the open side or bottom of the extrusion; and a choice of either inch or metric mounting options.
In addition, all MXE actuators are available in reverse parallel or in-line motor mounting configurations. Tolomatic's 'Your Motor Here' program, which allows customers to select a motor mount to fit hundreds of motor models, is available with all in-line mounting selections. Tolomatic will provide the mounting hardware at no additional charge, and then mount it to an actuator.
