Solartron Metrology has introduced 23.5mm and 27.5mm long gauge probes offering 1mm and 2mm measuring range respectively. The internal construction of these probes is just as robust as Solartron’s AX and DP series, which provide guaranteed operation for over a million cycles. Currently the probes are offered in a digital version only, which provides ease of setup (neither the electrical zero nor the sensitivity need to be set up by the user). The transducers are mechanically sealed using a Viton boot to achieve IP65 protection. M2 thread tips are available to suit different applications, and these can be adjusted and replaced in the field.
