Long-range, precision position sensors for harsh environments

The NCG-1-AL-UHV position sensors from Queensgate are based on advanced, proprietary capacitive technology, and are the longest range devices in the company’s portfolio.

With measurements spanning 11,000µm, these sensors are suitable for precision positioning in harsh environments. The rugged sensing mechanism utilises gold-plated ceramic capacitive plates that achieve 0.12µm resolution (thanks to very low noise electronics).

The sensors maintain their zero position when powered down while low thermal changes at the point of measurement mean they are suitable for system drift and stability measurement. Radiation hardened, the sensors have an extended working temperature range (-200°C - +150°C), are non-magnetic and are suitable for placement in ultra-high vacuum environments.

NCG-1-AL-UHV position sensors are designed to work with Queensgate's NS-2000/NS-2000SM single axis or NS-2304 multi-axis sensor controllers.
