CMOS cameras for machine vision from Sony

Sony Europe’s Image Sensing Solutions’ latest GS CMOS camera range offers advanced features and reliability for machine vision.

The new series utilises advanced Sony technology and features four models: the XCG-CG240/C and XCG-CG510/C, available in either black and white or colour.

Rolling shutter systems are commonly used across industry, often causing distortion of the focal plane. The GS CMOS range features Sony’s Pregius, a global shutter pixel technology, which ensures undistorted, high picture quality even at very high speeds.

These cameras also feature Sony’s Exmor, a back-illuminated CMOS image sensor with improved sensitivity and noise reduction while radically realigning their fundamental pixel structure from front-illumination to back-illumination.

Exmor R retains all the advantages of CMOS image sensors such as low power consumption and high-speed operation.
