Miniature displacement sensors for confined spaces

Hoffmann + Krippner can now supply extremely slim, inductive displacement sensors that are capable of accurate measurements in extremely confined spaces.

Utilising differential sensing technology, Inelta IZAL series Linear Variable Differential Transformer (LVDT) sensors feature a 4mm diameter body housing a complete and powerful differential transformer measuring system with core and coils.

The sensors achieve a linearity tolerance of ± 0.5 percent (optionally 0.25 percent) and are designed for measuring ranges of 1, 2.5 and 5mm.

With a housing made of chemically nickel-plated steel (protection class IP65) and a temperature range of -25 to +85°C, (which can be extended further upon request), these new sensors are suitable for use in harsh and demanding environments.

The actuation takes place via an unguided core, with the sensors being connected via a 1mm cable, which is optionally available in other lengths.
