Hygienic motor range updated with new feedback and connector options

The Kollmorgen AKMH range of stainless steel servomotors has been enhanced with a host of new feedback device connector options.

Available in the UK from InMoCo, these hygienic, CIP (clean-in-place) compatible motors now offer a new resolver, comcoder (2048ppr), hyperface (SKx36 and SRx50) and EnDat 2.1(optical and inductive) feedback options.

New flying lead and connector versions are available, along with IP69K and IP67 vented cable-mounted connectors, and IP69K cable and tubing versions.

The AKMH has also been enhanced with the availability of an integrated brake. Even with the brake option, the IP69K protection is maintained.

The motors conform to the Machine Directive 2006/42/EC 3A hygiene standards, while lubricant and seals adhere to FDA standards. Being washdown-ready, there is no need to fit waterproof covers, even when using 100bar high pressure water for washdown.

The AKMH series covers 19 sizes of motors, from 74mm to 186mm diameters. The power range is 0.2kW to 5.5kW; continuous torque output ranges from 0.4Nm to 21Nm, and peak torque is up to 79Nm. The motors are suitable for shaft speeds of up to 8,000rpm.
