HBM adds new modules to SomatXR data acquisition system

Suitable for use in harsh environments, the latest additions includes the MX840B-R and SomatXR MX411B-R amplifiers and the SomatXR MX471B-R CAN module.

The MX840B-R is a universal amplifier, which offers eight channels that accept more than 16 different transducer technologies.

With four channels and a data rate of up to 100 kS/s per channel, SomatXR MX411B-R is suitable for highly dynamic measurement tasks, such as vibration measurements and impact tests.

The SomatXR MX471B-R CANbus module can be used to record mechanical and digital vehicle data.  Featuring four individually configurable interfaces which receive CAN data, the module also supports reading of CCP or xCP-on-CAN messages and offers the option of using CAN messages as triggers for measurement recordings.  In addition, the module also provides gateway functionality and can send sensor signals acquired with other SomatXR modules as CAN messages.

Rugged and flexible in use, HBM's SomatXR data acquisition system provides a web interface for simple operation without any software installation, allowing convenient channel parameterisation, monitoring of measurement jobs and visualisation of measured data at a distance from the measurement point.
