As part of its 70th Anniversary celebrations, RS Components is giving one site-user and their guest the chance to experience a fantastic VIP day at Thruxton Racetrack on October 14th, the thrilling climax to the 2007 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.
RS sponsors the VX Racing Team, with drivers Fabrizio Giovanardi and Tom Chilton currently challenging across all three championships for drivers, manufacturers and team titles.
On offer is a very special day including VIP passes, a tour of the Triple Eight Garage, lunch in the team motorhome, driver’s autographs, plus the full programme of racing, all courtesy of RS. "Our sponsorship of the VX team gives us the ideal showcase to support engineering at the highest level", commented Graham Johnson, head of UK marketing.
The Thruxton prize is just one of a series of events planned to highlight the anniversary of RS Components, which started from humble beginnings in 1937 when a demand for radio spares convinced Mr. Sebestyen and Mr. Waring to start the business. It would eventually grow into a supplier of over 146,000 different products across the engineering spectrum via the internet, regional trade counters, call and collect service or traditional post.
