Development kit offers introduction to RFID systems

Harting has introduced an introductory kit for engineers who are looking to implement RFID systems.

Hardware supplied with the kit includes Harting's Ha-VIS RF-R200 RFID Reader with PoE (Power over Ethernet) connectivity, the RF-R200 desktop power supply, Ha-VIS FT89 small RFID transponders (50 pieces), a Ha-VIS LOCFIELD antenna (0.3m active length, 0.6m total length), and a 1m Ethernet patch cable. These are supported by the relevant data sheets, the RF-R200 user manual, and the Ha-VIS configurator tool.

Harting's RFID range is fully integrated to provide a complete system from a single source, suitable for use in almost any industrial application that requires a rugged and reliable RFID installation. Designed to work on metal surfaces for maximum performance, the system has an extended temperature range from -25°C to +85°C and is GS1 EPC ALE 1.1 compliant.

Harting's RFID product portfolio provides long read range capabilities with 50G shock resistance, along with the opportunity of a tailored reading zone with the company's novel LOCFIELD antenna.
