Leuze Electronic's safety light curtains will be on show for the very first time in the UK during the Health and Safety '07 exhibition. The event, being held at the Reebok Stadium, Bolton, on October 10-11, will showcase the IP68 rated version of Compactplus, that also offers integrated bus connectivity without the need for additional coupling devices.
Compactplus meets the requirements of SIL 3 in accordance with IEC 61508, and is available with a range of functionalities that include blanking, muting and cycle control. Couple these features with the added protection of IP68 classification, then Compactplus becomes one of the most versatile safety light
curtains available that is now fully equipped for applications in food and other manufacturing processes where the ability to undergo wash-down is a standard requirement.
The Solid-4 safety light curtain has been engineered for tough arduous environments, its trouble-free performance complimented by a choice of four standard resolutions - 14, 20, 30, 40, 90mm - makes it an extremely flexible safety light curtain, for hazardous point protection or area protection across many diverse applications. In addition, where multiple light curtain guarding requirements are needed in close proximity the Solid 4 is in a field of its own since it incorporates two selectable light-beam channels. This eliminates
potential optical cross-talking of neighbouring devices ensuring completely reliable safety protection.
Compactplus and Solid 4 are just part of Leuze Electronic's comprehensive range of safety light curtains and grids that offers over 90 variations to satisfy most standard and niche applications needs. Add to this a range of safety mats, edges and bumpers, which are also being shown on stand 50, then to use an old
cliché, Leuze Electronic is truly a One-Stop-Shop when looking to introduce, upgrade or revamp industrial safety installations.
