NI offers engineers Windows Vista compatibility

National Instruments (NI) has released DIAdem 10.2, the latest version of its interactive data management, analysis and reporting software that supports Microsoft Windows Vista. National Instruments has also released NI DataFinder Server Edition 1.1, an updated version of the data mining software that works with DIAdem 10.2 to simplify data sharing and mining across entire groups or departments.

Windows Vista is equipped with Windows Instant Search, a search tool that allows developers to conduct dynamic searches of many common file types including Microsoft Word documents, Excel spreadsheets and Internet pages. While this level of search functionality is typically adequate for general users, engineers frequently need to perform data mining and analysis to identify trends and extract meaningful information from their test data. DIAdem 10.2 is designed to give engineers quick access to large volumes of scattered data, consistent reporting and data visualisation.

Engineers can also use DIAdem DataFinder, a data-mining feature introduced in DIAdem 10.0, to perform Internet-like searches of their data files, regardless of file format. The DIAdem platform enables engineers to mine data to identify and analyse trends, using functions that help to produce customised reports.
NI LabVIEW 8.2.1, LabWindows/CVI 8.1.1 and Measurement Studio 8.1.1 now also provide support for Windows Vista.
