A new, more accurate optical encoder with integrated pushbutton has been launched by EAO - a Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) specialist.
The Series 61L encoder, which features a one quadrature cycle per detent, enhances accuracy by providing more data points to measure changes in shaft position.
EAO believe that the Series 61L will provide a trouble-free one million rotational cycles even in the harshest conditions. By including the optional pushbutton, it can be used in applications involving menu choice and selection.
The higher accuracy makes this product suitable for equipment requiring high rotational sensitivity, including precision test and measurement equipment and medical applications. EAO also recommends it for any applications within challenging environments including military and avionics communications equipment. It is RoHS compliant and tested to MIL-STD-202.
This product is manufactured by switch and control specialist Grayhill, who is represented in the UK by EAO.
