EAO has introduced Series 04 and 14 stainless steel switches for control panels that need extra protection against impact, vandalism, dirty environments and harsh operation.
Stainless steel switches are offered as push buttons or indicators in 22.5mm and 30mm round sizes, either in flush- or raised-mounting styles.
These products offer strength and durability both in front and behind the panel. The pushbutton can be fitted with a stainless steel lens, protective front ring and bezels to create an impact- and vandal-resistant surface.
The flush-mounting option offers further protection against side impact and accidental operation. It also restricts the possibility of dirt building up around the switch which makes cleaning and maintenance easier. Series 14 can be sealed to IP67 against oil and dirt ingress.
Behind the panel, the self-cleaning, snap-action switching elements with gold-plated silver contacts will help prevent the switch from sticking; and silver/palladium contacts may be specified for certain switches for use in particularly aggressive environments.
Products from the Series 04 and 14 ranges are illuminated with high-intensity LED's that have a virtually limitless service life.
EAO recommends these products for industrial and machinery applications where equipment is frequently washed down, and any environment where harsh use or vandalism is a potential problem.
