Diaphragm valve dispenses UV adhesives

Intertronics recently introduced the DV509-UV-LF, which is for the dispensing of UV adhesives. This diaphragm valve dispenser comes from the same stable at I&J Fisnar as the pneumatic controller, which makes this an easy-to-use package, especially suited for UV curing resins. The valve's high cycling rate of 200 per minute makes it ideal for automated systems in all industries.

The DV500-UV-LF has been specifically constructed to provide shielding from outside light and to reduce metal contact, which can sometimes cause UV resin to gel. The diaphragm itself is opened by pneumatic solenoid and is positively closed by a return spring, thus ensuring precision of operation. Construction of the valve includes a wetted chamber compatible with the flow of low to medium viscosity UV materials which can otherwise prove difficult.

UV cure resins are becoming increasingly popular because of their advantages in offering long component positioning times coupled with a quick cure of the final assembly. In addition to a wide range of UV adhesives and coatings, the “adhere” brand at Intertronics covers a comprehensive range of liquid dispensing equipment, ideal for adhesives, epoxies, coatings, sealants, gaskets, greases, and oils - along with many other fluids and pastes. They are able to work with single component materials and two or more components through their metering and mixing products and have anything from simple hand-held guns to sophisticated four-axis dispensing robots.
