Gill Instruments is using custom seals in several of its specialised
instruments, including air flow sensors, anemometers and position
sensors. Developed by DP Seals, these include an EPDM seal providing IP65
protection and solvent resistance for an airflow sensor used in paint
spray booths; similar seals for Gill's intrinsically safe WindObserver
anemometer (illustrated), which is certified for use in hazardous areas,
and IP67 rated seals for non-contact position sensors used within
industrial control devices.
