Type 316 stainless steel shaft collars resist corrosion

Ruland Manufacturing now offers a full range of smooth bore shaft collars in 316 stainless steel for medical, food processing and pharmaceutical applications where washdown is required and corrosion must be avoided. A high level of resistance to chloride corrosion makes these shaft collars suitable for marine applications.

The collars are available in one- and two-piece clamp-style designs with bore sizes from 3mm to 50mm. Clamp-style collars do not mar the shaft, provide higher holding power, and are more easily adjustable than set screw type shaft collars. All Ruland shaft collars are single point faced to ensure perpendicularity and proper alignment. A precise shaft collar face to bore relationship ensures that components are both properly positioned and not tilted on the shaft.

Ruland also offers shaft collars in type 303 stainless steel, aluminium, black oxide carbon steel and engineering plastics.
